It is with a very heavy heart that we mourn the loss today of our special friend Christiane Reimer (SkyHaven Collies) Peublo, Colorado. Christie was taken from all who loved her way too soon. Its difficult to believe that we will never hear her voice on the other end of the telephone, planning breedings, sharing pictures and discussing dogs, dogs we liked, dogs we didn't. We would talk collies till the wee hours of the morning. Christie was always just a phone call away, freely giving her time and advice, celebrating our wins and comforting us and listening when things weren't going well. We cannot describe the loss we and others feel today, her passing is an incredible loss to the collie world as well. Chrisite loved her collies especially her big mahogany dog, James Dean. J.D also passed way before his time. Our only comfort today is knowing Christie is once again with J.D. Im sure he was waiting in heaven for her arrival, with his tail a wagging, welcoming her home. We dedicate our website to Christie as she played a huge role here at Ruffneck. Things will never be the same here, without her. Regrettably we will have to continue on here without Christie, however her input, sound advice and her love of the collies will never be forgotten. We miss her already.
If the deep freeze wasn't enough, the snow is. Were digging out again and going through knee deep snow to do chores this evening. Billy our promising puppy from the Briggs/Beasley litter officially has a new name. He's had so many, as I couldnt decide what to name him. His registered name will be Ruffneck SkyHaven Remember Me. He is named as a tribute to our special friend Christie who is terribly ill. Christie was instrumental in helping us acquire his daddy Briggs, and the loving owner of James Dean our Ruffnecks Etched In Bronze son. We are so proud to include her kennel name along with ours in appreciation of her continued support, and friendship over the past couple of years. We will keep the SkyHaven legacy alive.
Thanks to Lisa of Storms Collies for helping out with our trip to the eye clinic today....all pups were milds with the exception of Piper in Calgary who is a go-normal.
All the dogs you see on our website appear in their natural state...we do NOT alter our dogs photo's to enhance their appearance in any way....Thank You for visiting, please check back often as we update our site on a very regular basis.
